The Best Western Argyll Hotel’s majestic tower is a Dunoon landmark and
can be seen from all around. Given that the hotel is adjacent to the ferry
pier, finding us is not difficult. There are three main ways to reach hotel:-
By Car : -
Excellent road network from Glasgow makes easy to reach Argyll Hotel, Dunoon,
exit the M 74 at junction 4. Follow signs for Glasgow centre M8. Continue
on M8 to Greenock and then A8 to Gourock (27 miles from Glasgow ).
There are 2 ferry services from Gourock to Dunoon, Calmac and Western Ferries.
Calmac runs every hour and docks at Dunoon pier adjacent to The Best Western
Argyll hotel. Western Ferries has a more frequent service to Hunter’s Quay,
a 5 minutes drive to the hotel.
For a scenic and leisurely drive, you can follow the alternative route A82
via the Erskine Bridge and Lomond National Park to reach Dunoon by road following
A815 (70 miles from Glasgow ).

By Air : -
Dunoon is just 27 miles, 50 minute from Glasgow Airport and 1 hour 5 minutes
from Prestwick Airport (including ferry crossing). For seamless transfers
we can organise chauffeur driven transport from either airport. To book
contact us in advance.
By Rail : -
There is a half hourly service from Glasgow Central station to Gourock. Then
Ferry connecting to Dunoon Pier. Hotel is 50 metres from the pier. Pick
up can be provided on request.
Our hotel also has a special tour planning service including car hire options.
Therefore we can plan excursions for you including car and driver if you
wish.
